Versatile comedian, actor and writer Pete Zedlacher is a 20+ year veteran of the comedy scene and one of the premiere headliners in the country. Zedlacher, who proudly hails from Wawa, a small mining town in Northern Ontario, draws heavily from his Canadian working-class roots. A graduate of the prestigious American Musical and Dramatic Academy in New York, the intensive acting program helped him infuse a theatrical element into his stand-up. Now based in Calgary, Zedlacher has a Canadian Comedy Award, four Canadian Comedy Award-nominations and two Gemini nominations to his credit. Most recently, Pete won the international comedy competition and was crowned Sirius XM’s Top Comic.

Pete is a familiar voice to Canadian radio listeners, as he’s a regular and has over 20 debates to his credit on CBC Radio’s wildly popular The Debaters. In his most recent television performance, Zedlacher made his remarkable 10th appearance at the Ha!ifax ComedyFest. He’s also performed on CBC’s The Winnipeg Comedy Festival, JFL42 and toured with the Just For Laughs National Tour, but he’s is probably best known for his appearances at Just for Laughs in Montreal performing galas alongside Jason Alexander, Whoopi Goldberg, Sir Patrick Stewart and the legendary Muppets.

Most recently, Pete became the 4th member of The Snowed in Comedy Tour. The annual tour, which tours soft-seat theatres throughout the winter and spring, will now hit over 60 cities across the country, making The Snowed In Comedy Tour Canada’s biggest comedy tour.

Zedlacher’s comedy albums, Comic Kong and Chuckles Obnoxiously which are heard regularly on Sirius XM’s Laugh Attack and are available on Apple iTunes, Apple Music, Spotify and other streaming sites across the web. His latest Chuckles Obnoxiously debuted at the #1 spot on the iTunes Comedy Charts.

Pete is also a television writer and actor, working on 4 seasons of The Ron James Show (CBC), the 2 inaugural seasons of Still Standing (CBC) and he has written and appeared on his own one- hour special Comedy Now! (CTV/The Comedy Network). As well, Pete wrote and performed one full season, 106 episodes of the late night talk show The Hour With George Stroumboulopoulos (CBC), as well as The Jon Dore Television Show (The Comedy Network) and the animated series Scaredy Squirrel (YTV/ Disney XD).

Zedlacher has become a recognizable face on Canadian television. He regularly appears on The Debaters (CBC Radio and Television) with over 20 debates to his credit. Other appearances include Rookie Blue (ABC/Global), Degrassi: The Next Generation (CTV/Nickelodeon), Puppets Who Kill (The Comedy Network), The Sean Cullen Show (CBC), Sir Patrick Stewart: A Knight of Comedy (CBC), Ha!ifax ComedyFest (CBC), Video On Trial (Much Music) and Last Comic Standing (NBC).
